By now I thought I would have eaten half the food offered at Pixar Fest, but that has not been the case! However, I’ve tried a couple more Pixar Fest snacks and some additional items I’d like to share with you as well! So here we go, part 2 of my quest to eat through Pixar Fest!
Yodeling Cowgirl Pretzel
Yes, this is just a cinnamon pretzel, but it still deserves to be eaten! This was on Ashlee’s list of items to try so we finally hunted down the exact pretzel cart that had them! These are located next to Thunder Mountain and Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland! We didn’t get the cream cheese dip, but the pretzel itself was warm and fresh! If you’re a fan of cinnamon pretzels this is worth trying!
Mexican Chocolate Pot de Creme
This dessert is inspired by the newest Pixar film Coco! Which, unfortunately, I haven’t seen yet… If you’re a chocolate lover you’ll want to try this parfait! It includes a layer of spiced Mexican chocolate, a layer of moist chocolate cake, and a layer of flavored chocolate cinnamon liquor. I had no idea that’s what was inside when I ate it, but I really enjoyed it!
Sadly, those are the only two Pixar Fest items I’ve added to my list since my last visit, but I did have some other memorable food items I wanted to share! Also, I searched high and low for anything I could buy from my favorite Pixar movie Ratatouille and I can say I found this! Who doesn’t love Remy on a straw spoon?! I purchased this at the Plaza Inn! I know there is also a Ratatouille inspired dish at Cafe Orleans that I am dying to try as well! (Aren’t the Pixar Fest bags adorable??)
Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait
As you may remember, I recently visited the Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats when it opened. I went back, this time with Ashlee, and tried the Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait! This includes the new lemon soft serve with blue raspberry swirl! It’s almost too pretty to eat! There is more than enough in this parfait to share with your friends and family! I’ve seen so many people, children included, with their own and I think to myself, “how are you going to finish that?!” Needless to say, this is bound to give you a jolt of energy and that sugar rush you’re looking for!
Rancho del Zocalo Nachos & Flan
This restaurant is starting to climb my list of favorite places to eat in Disneyland! Rancho del Zocalo is a Mexican restaurant that recently added the Zocalo Nachos to their menu! They include grilled chicken, house-made tortilla chips, beans, guacamole, pasilla cheese sauce, pico de gallo and queso fresco! These nachos were very delicious and very large! I would recommend sharing this entree with someone! It’ll not only save you some money but save you from wasting food!
Tip: If there’s something you don’t like or would like to substitute an item (i.e. rice for beans) just ask! That’s what we did and they were happy to oblige!
I’ve always been curious about their flan, which is not a dessert for everyone I know. Theirs was really flavorful and we actually ate it before everything else! Who says you can’t have dessert first?? I would recommend it over the parfait, but both were tasty!
Well, that’s all for this post, but stay tuned for more reviews on the various food items being offered at Pixar Fest! I still have all summer to try them! Make sure you subscribe to our blog and let us know what you’d like us to try next!
